How Methexis works

Methexis coordinates open AI training by combining on-chain accountability with off-chain performance. On Ethereum, smart contracts handle the essential trust functions, tracking dataset acceptance, recording model checkpoints, distributing rewards, applying slashing, and managing governance. Meanwhile, the heavy lifting happens off-chain: community-run nodes provide storage through IPFS or Arweave and contribute GPU power for training. This division keeps the network efficient, with the blockchain acting as the verifiable source of truth while the compute layer delivers scale and performance.
